It’s a one-day course, which runs from 10am – 5:30pm. There will also be 30 minutes at the end for questions. This Crash Course will be held online in 2023.
The course was created by Oxbridge medics and led by an instructor who is a current medical student. See our reviews.
We spend the morning going over topics like dealing with unknown material and classic Oxbridge scientific questions. We make sure to get students involved so you learn by doing, not just listening.

Oxbridge are interested in your scientific knowledge more than any other university. You’ll often be asked difficult science-based questions such as “why can’t you breathe underwater through a 1M reed?”. We prepare you for these types of questions throughout the course with the following sessions:

The second key factor that Oxbridge interviewers assess is how you approach problems. This helps them understand how you think and how you use the knowledge you have available. Ensuring you are able to approach problems in the right way highlights you as a student they’d like to teach. We improve this through several topics:

A Fully Interactive Day

Throughout the day, you’ll be asked to join in the discussion and answer Oxbridge interview questions – this isn’t a passive course where you’ll just sit and listen!

We’ll actively be getting attendees to participate and have their own input. We’ll be going through your answers and dissecting them as a group – learning how to improve and tweak your answers to be better.

We’ll teach you to think like an Oxbridge admissions tutor.

What is the course structure?

The course is structured in three parts; Scientific Knowledge (as Oxbridge is very interested in your scientific knowledge) is where we’ll prepare you for this kind of question. The second part is Problem Solving (another key ingredient for success at an Oxbridge interview) – this helps them understand how you think and how you use the knowledge you have available. Finally, you’ll get interview practice to consolidate all the knowledge from the past two sections.

Do you only run the courses on weekends?

That’s right, we noticed that weekends are the best time for tutors and students as well, so you can choose between Saturdays or Sundays.

Can I speak with somebody if I need to change the date?

Absolutely, we recommend that when you choose the day for your course, you must be completely sure that you’ll be available to take it. Sometimes life happens though – if you can’t attend, you have 14 days to let us know.
